Research and Visual Direction
I explored visual references centered around retro-futurism, editorial design, typography, color, and composition. The goal was to find a visual language that felt contemporary while still having a distinctive, slightly futuristic character that could translate across the template.
Visual Exploration
I explored different ways to incorporate the idea of prediction into the template, experimenting with elements such as crystal balls, stars, binoculars, and other visual cues. These explorations tested different layouts and compositions to find a direction that felt distinctive while still allowing the subject and information to remain the focus.
Refinement
From the initial explorations, I expanded and simplified the strongest direction, refining the composition, typography, and supporting graphic elements to create a clearer and more flexible template.
Final
The final template was designed to adapt across different sports while maintaining a consistent visual identity. Each variation uses sport-specific colors, icons, textures, and imagery to create a distinct treatment while keeping the core Bold Predictions system intact.
