Nolon is a concept website that focuses on music, film, and comedy. The idea for this blog came from my passion for these three areas of entertainment.
When designing the logo, I wanted it to be simple and memorable. After experimenting with different colors and typography, I came up with the final design.
Once I had the homepage layout designed, which showcases thumbnails for popular articles, I moved on to designing the article pages. I wanted these pages to be clean, easy to read, and visually interesting.
To create the images for the articles, I used a combination of photos and my own design. Using photoshop I was able to manipulate images and create typography that complimented the article’s topic making sure that each image is unique and visually interesting to keep readers engaged.
Finally, I created social media posts and motion graphics to promote content on social media platforms. I used Adobe After Effects to create the motion graphics while making sure they conveyed the same tone as the website.

Motion graphics: Process/Sketches
These are quick hand sketches created for the animation being shown. I came up with the ideas on paper first before committing to creating the final animation. There were other ideas but these are the final two fully completed.
