Building Visual Systems
A key part of my role is building flexible templates that can quickly adapt to different stories and content. I design each template with editable elements, image treatments, typography, and layout options that allow the same visual direction to be reused across a variety of posts. From the initial Photoshop template to the final published graphic, the goal is to create a system that is both visually consistent and efficient to produce.
BR Walkoff
For WalkOff, I expanded the existing visual identity by creating new design templates, layouts, and creative directions for social content. I explored different ways to use bold typography, player imagery, graphic framing, and the established color system while keeping the work consistent with the brand. The templates were designed to provide flexibility across breaking news, analysis, features, and other MLB content.
BR Racing
For BR Racing, I expanded the existing visual identity through new templates and layouts across multiple motorsports properties. I created flexible designs for standings, rankings, predictions, race results, and editorial content, maintaining consistency while adapting the system to different types of racing coverage.
BR GridIron
For GridIron, I expanded the existing visual identity through new templates and layouts for social content. I adapted the brand’s high-contrast typography, textured imagery, and yellow-and-black palette across breaking news, rankings, player analysis, and editorial content. I also adapted the social templates for use within the Bleacher Report app, ensuring the visual system translated consistently across platforms.
BR App
Beyond social media, I created a range of new templates and visual layouts for the Bleacher Report app. These designs were developed specifically for the app’s viewing environment, with a focus on clear hierarchy, readability, and digital consumption. I also adapted select existing social templates for the app, maintaining consistency across platforms while accounting for the differences in format and user experience.
BR Hoops
For Hoops, I created and adapted a range of templates within the brand’s existing visual identity. The system was designed to support everything from player news and recruiting to rankings and game-driven coverage, giving the team flexible layouts that could be quickly adapted to different types of content.
